The Research Assistant, a temporary part time position, will primarily conduct research for the Originalist's Constitution project within the Georgetown Center for the Constitution. S/he researches judicial opinions that exemplify originalist analysis on a clause-by- clause basis, overseeing all other research projects and tasks as needed. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Collect and document judicial opinions.
- Analyze and write summaries from relevant portions of judicial opinions.
- Document bluebook citations.
Work Interactions
The Research Assistant will assist with all research needed to complete the Originalist's Constitution project as necessary to advance the mission of the project and CENTER. This includes meeting and coordinating with CENTER staff including the program manager, program director, and faculty director.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (B.A or B.S)
- Upcoming judicial clerkship preferred
- A working knowledge of constitutional law and American constitutional theory, including originalism
- The ability to conduct research effectively and efficiently and engage with the Center's areas of research

Pay Range
The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $17.55- $21.45. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
